Add some green to your home

Add some green to your home

Having green in your home can not only make it look good but can have amazing benefits to your health too.

I have loved plants from a very young age but it wasn’t until Craig and I got our own house did I see the unbelievable interior change it can have on a space. Plants can make a place look amazing weather it’s a small corner, a big shelving unit, a side table, windowsill or a mantel piece.

Choosing the right plants for the space is the most important thing because it all comes down to light. So if you have a dark corner I would maybe go for a Zamioculcas Zamiifolia (ZZ Plant) or Sansevieria (Snake Plant). Bright sunny spots maybe a cacti is best or an Ivy. If you have a spot that is a bit of both go for a Spider plant (Chlorophytum comosum) or a Peace Lily (Chlorophytum comosum). But if you are unsure please just message me and i will answer you based on my own experience.

You don’t have to be a professional interior designer to have plants in your house just find a space and add a plant. Seriously its as simple as that and once you start you will not be able to stop.

Plants are also great for your health did you know they help keep the air clean and increase oxygen levels. They can also reduce dust that’s in the air too. Plus im pretty sure my mummy stress levels are reduced just by having them around.

If you are new to house plants and want to start with something easy I would suggest

Mother in laws tongue (Sansevieria)

Spider plant (Chlorophytum comosum)

Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum)

Dragon Tree (Dracaena Marginata)

These are just based on my own experience and your experience may differ, but if you have any questions just leave a comment and I will help in any way I can.

All of these beautiful plants were supplied by the amazing Perrywood Garden Centre. Their indoor plant collection is amazing and the staff are awesome and always happy to help and advise.
