We visited Kew in August this year and we had the best time, I was unsure if it would be worth the travel with Three kids but it so was! We couldn’t believe how massive this place was you could easily spend the whole day and there are lots to keep the kids entertained. We booked the kid’s garden, which was free, and they loved it, so much climbing and water fun. Be prepared to have your walking shoes on as things are far apart but we did have the incredible contemporary glass art by Chihuly to look at along the way.
Marcie loved the palm house and climbing to the top of the stairs she found it hilarious how it just got hotter and hotter. Bodhi and Rowe couldn’t believe there was actual Bananas growing and I couldn’t believe the size of the Monstera.
My favorite place was The Princess of Wales Conservatory, it was effortlessly cool and just really beautiful. I could have easily spent hours upon hours just sitting and staring at all the cacti. I don’t know what it is but cacti bring me a sense of calm and walking into this Conservatory I had a wave of complete serenity.
So in short Kew is definitely worth a visit as a family, a couple, a group or solo its perfect to take time out of your day to day schedule and get inspired.
